Abstract

The primary focus of psychiatric rehabilitation is on improving the competencies of persons with psychiatric disabilities. 2. Both patients and staff must change their ideas about themselves and each other before the work of rehabilitation could move forward. 3. Institutional rigidity works against psychiatric rehabilitation, with its value on individual growth and self-sufficiency.
