The study reports the epidemiology and signs of gout at Ouagadougou from a group of 35 patients observed in a department of internal medicine. The diagnosis of gout was based on Rome criteria. The most important epidemiological factors associated with gout were: obesity, hypertension, alcohol and diabetes. 75% of the patients were male. Gout was chronic polyarticular form and tophis were observed in 5 cases.
