Sialochemistry was used to detect salivary gland involvement in KCS patients. Significantly elevated IgA was found in 52% of the patients, potassium in 48% and sodium in 32%. No correlation between the grade of Schirmer's test and the extent of changes in salivary composition was observed. The results indicate that salivary IgA, K and Na concentrations can be used for detection of salivary gland involvement of KCS patients.
采用唾液化学分析法检测干性角结膜炎（KCS）患者的唾液腺受累情况。52%的患者IgA显著升高，48%的患者钾升高，32%的患者钠升高。未观察到泪液分泌试验分级与唾液成分变化程度之间存在相关性。结果表明，唾液中IgA、钾和钠的浓度可用于检测KCS患者的唾液腺受累情况。
