This paper describes the supervision practices of hospital-based child life supervisors. Interviews were conducted with 10 hospital supervisors and focused on several dimensions of the supervisory process. Supervision practices varied widely on all dimensions and it was clear that there was no common method of supervision. Implications for the training of child life professionals are discussed.
