Bactobolin glucosides, 5-O-(alpha-D-glucopyranosyl)-, 5-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)- and 6-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-bactobolin were prepared by glycosidation of bactobolin (1) with the glucopyranosyl trichloroacetoimidate. These compounds were evaluated antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity.
