Abstract

The father plays an important role in breastfeeding, and the nurse can encourage fathers to become participants in the care of their breastfeeding infants. This article presents a whimsical overview of how a father can participate in this most important relationship through supporting and assisting the mother and developing comforting skills for the infant.
