From January 1989 to December 1990, 7653 phone calls were answered by the AIDS Hot Line of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois. Most of the calls were from the general public (82%), 12% from health care workers and 6% from HIV-infected subjects. The main reasons for calling were information regarding the HIV test (public), scientific inquiries (health care works) and requests for medical or social support (HIV-positive persons). With more than 15 phone calls per day, this hot line fulfils a definite need with respect to the various types of information required.
1989年1月至1990年12月,沃州大学中心医院的艾滋病热线共接听了7653个电话。大多数来电者来自普通公众(82%),12%来自医护人员,6%来自艾滋病毒感染者。打电话的主要原因是关于艾滋病毒检测的信息(普通公众)、科学咨询(医护人员)以及对医疗或社会支持的请求(艾滋病毒呈阳性者)。该热线每天接到超过15个电话,满足了对各类所需信息的明确需求。
