INTRODUCTION
Adult coeliac disease revealed by coeliac crisis and quadriplegia due to potassium depletion is an extremely rare situation.
CASE REPORT
A 26-year-old woman presented with a suddenly developed weakness of all four limbs and a severe diarrhea. Authors emphasize coeliac crisis, which is a presenting feature of coeliac disease, characterized by acute diarrhea with life-threatening acid base and electrolyte abnormalities. The patient improved with correction of hypokalemia and gluten-free diet.
CONCLUSION
A severe acute diarrhea with metabolic and systemic complications, the so-called coeliac crisis, is a possible presenting clinical feature of a previously undiagnosed adult celiac disease.

因乳糜泻危象和低钾血症导致四肢瘫痪而确诊的成人乳糜泻是一种极其罕见的情况。
病例报告
一名26岁女性突然出现四肢无力和严重腹泻。作者强调乳糜泻危象是乳糜泻的一个特征性表现，其特点是急性腹泻伴有危及生命的酸碱和电解质异常。患者通过纠正低钾血症和无麸质饮食后病情好转。
结论
伴有代谢和全身并发症的严重急性腹泻，即所谓的乳糜泻危象，可能是先前未诊断出的成人乳糜泻的一种临床特征表现。
