Keratosis pilaris (KP) is a common condition of follicular plugging with variable erythema. There is a lack of reliable response to the treatment of KP.
We evaluated the effect and safety of combination peel with fractional prickle coral calcium (FCR™) in the treatment of KP.
Sixteen Korean patients were treated with FCR™ on both upper arms for five sessions at 2-week intervals. Clinical evaluations, mexameter measurements, and assessment of patients' satisfaction and adverse events were performed at baseline and every visit.
After treatments, statistically significant improvements in the baseline KP were observed in erythema and melanin index of mexameter on treated upper arms. Both the physicians' and patients' assessments correlate with the results of mexameter scores.
Our results suggest FCR™ should be considered as an effective and safe treatment option for the patients with KP.
毛发角化病（KP）是一种常见的毛囊堵塞性疾病，伴有不同程度的红斑。目前对于 KP 的治疗方法尚无可靠的疗效。
我们评估了果酸焕肤联合珊瑚钙微针（FCR™）治疗 KP 的疗效和安全性。
16 名韩国患者的双侧上臂接受 FCR™ 治疗，每 2 周治疗 1 次，共 5 次。在基线和每次就诊时进行临床评估、Mexameter 测量以及患者满意度和不良反应的评估。
治疗后，治疗侧上臂的 KP 红斑和 Mexameter 黑色素指数均有显著改善。医生评估和患者评估均与 Mexameter 评分结果相关。
我们的研究结果表明，FCR™ 可作为治疗 KP 的有效且安全的选择。
