Silanized aluminum borate whiskers (ABWs) of 4 wt%, silanized zirconium dioxide nanoparticles (nano-ZrO) of 2 wt% were mixed with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) powder to get ZrO-ABWs/PMMA composites. Titanium dioxide (TiO), silver-supported titanium dioxide (Ag/TiO), silver-supported zirconium phosphate (Novaron) and tetrapod-like zinc oxide whiskers (T-ZnOw) antibacterial agents of 3 wt% were mixed with ZrO-ABWs/PMMA composites respectively to fabricate standard specimens. Plaque biofilms on the specimens surface were investigated for colony-forming units (CFUs). In addition, cytotoxicity and mechanical behavior were evaluated. Results showed that the CFUs values of S. mutans and C. albican biofilms on the four antibacterial composites surface were all reduced (p<0.05) compared to the blank and control groups. The antibacterial composites did not have an adverse effect on fibroblast growth in this study (p>0.05) except TiO and Ag/TiO groups of undiluted extracts. The flexural strength and surface hardness of Novaron and T-ZnOw groups were increased (p<0.05) compared to the control group.
将4重量%的硅烷化硼酸铝晶须(ABW)、2重量%的硅烷化二氧化锆纳米颗粒(纳米ZrO)与聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)粉末混合,以获得ZrO-ABW/PMMA复合材料。将3重量%的二氧化钛(TiO)、载银二氧化钛(Ag/TiO)、载银磷酸锆(Novaron)和四脚状氧化锌晶须(T-ZnOw)抗菌剂分别与ZrO-ABW/PMMA复合材料混合,以制备标准试样。对试样表面的菌斑生物膜进行菌落形成单位(CFU)研究。此外,还评估了细胞毒性和力学性能。结果表明,与空白组和对照组相比,四种抗菌复合材料表面变形链球菌和白色念珠菌生物膜的CFU值均降低(p<0.05)。在本研究中,除未稀释提取物的TiO和Ag/TiO组外,抗菌复合材料对成纤维细胞生长没有不良影响(p>0.05)。与对照组相比,Novaron和T-ZnOw组的弯曲强度和表面硬度有所提高(p<0.05)。
