The global mortality due to cryptococcosis caused by or is unacceptably high. Currently available therapies are decades old and may be impacted by drug resistance. Therefore, the need for more effective antifungal drugs for cryptococcosis is evident. A number of virulence factors have been studied in detail, providing crucial information about the fungal biology and putative molecular targets for antifungals. This review focuses on the use of well-described virulence factors of as potential anticryptococcal agents.
由新型隐球菌或格特隐球菌引起的隐球菌病导致的全球死亡率高得令人无法接受。目前可用的治疗方法已有数十年历史,且可能受到耐药性的影响。因此,显然需要更有效的抗真菌药物来治疗隐球菌病。已经对多种新型隐球菌毒力因子进行了详细研究,为真菌生物学和抗真菌药物的假定分子靶点提供了关键信息。本综述重点关注将已充分描述的新型隐球菌毒力因子用作潜在抗隐球菌药物的情况。
