The genome of a fungal strain strain HKF42, which can grow on 20% sucrose has been annotated for 7595 protein coding sequences. On mining of CAZymes, we could annotate a β-fructofuranosidase gene responsible for fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) synthesis which is a known prebiotic. The enzyme activity was demonstrated and validated with the generation of FOS as kestose and nystose.
能在20%蔗糖培养基上生长的真菌菌株HKF42的基因组已注释出7595个蛋白质编码序列。在挖掘碳水化合物活性酶(CAZymes)时,我们注释出一个负责合成低聚果糖(FOS,一种已知的益生元)的β-呋喃果糖苷酶基因。通过生成蔗果三糖和蔗果四糖形式的低聚果糖,证明并验证了该酶的活性。
