Abstract

OBJECTIVE

Long non-coding RNAs (LcRNAs) is related to lung cancer progression. This study aimed at exploring lncRNA GHET1 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

PATIENTS AND METHODS

RT-PCR was used to detect lncRNA GHET1 expression in lung cancer specimen and cancer-adjacent areas. Kaplan-Meier assay was applied to investigate the prognosis of the patients with lung cancer.

RESULTS

The expression of lncRNA GHET1 in lung cancer specimen was significantly higher than that in the cancer-adjacent tissues, which was related to the tumor size, differentiation degree of tumor cells, and lymph node metastasis of clinical specimens. Moreover, lncRNA GHET1 predicted a poor prognosis for the patients with lung cancer.

CONCLUSIONS

LncRNA GHET1 might be a biomarker and molecular target of NSCLC, providing a potential therapeutic target of NSCLC.

目的

长链非编码 RNA(lncRNA)与肺癌的发生发展有关。本研究旨在探讨非小细胞肺癌(NSCLC)中的 lncRNA GHET1。

患者与方法

采用 RT-PCR 检测肺癌组织及癌旁组织中 lncRNA GHET1 的表达,Kaplan-Meier 分析评估患者的预后。

结果

肺癌组织中 lncRNA GHET1 的表达明显高于癌旁组织,其表达与临床标本的肿瘤大小、肿瘤细胞分化程度及淋巴结转移有关。此外,lncRNA GHET1 预测肺癌患者的预后不良。

结论

lncRNA GHET1 可能是 NSCLC 的生物标志物和分子靶点,为 NSCLC 的潜在治疗靶点提供了依据。
