This study compared the retention of BioAggregate (BA; Innovative BioCeramix) and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA; Angelus) as coronal plugs after applying different intracanal medications (ICMs) used in regenerative endodontics.
One-hundred human maxillary central incisors were used. The canals were enlarged to a diameter of 1.7 mm. Specimens were divided into 5 groups ( = 20) according to the ICM used: calcium hydroxide (CH), 2% chlorhexidine (CHX), triple-antibiotic paste (TAP), double-antibiotic paste (DAP), and no ICM (control; CON). After 3 weeks of application, ICMs were removed and BA or MTA were placed as the plug material ( = 10). The push-out bond strength and the mode of failure were assessed. The data were analyzed using 2-way analysis of variance, the Tukey's test, and the χ test; values < 0.05 indicated statistical significance.
The type of ICM and the type of plug material significantly affected bond strength ( < 0.01). Regardless of the type of ICM, BA showed a lower bond strength than MTA ( < 0.05). For MTA, CH showed a higher bond strength than CON, TAP and DAP; CHX showed a higher bond strength than DAP ( < 0.01). For BA, CH showed a higher bond strength than DAP ( < 0.05). The mode of failure was predominantly cohesive for BA ( < 0.05).
MTA may show better retention than BA. The mode of bond failure with BA can be predominantly cohesive. BA retention may be less affected by ICM type than MTA retention.
本研究比较了在再生牙髓治疗中应用不同根管内药物(ICM)后,BioAggregate(BA;Innovative BioCeramix)和矿物三氧化物凝聚体(MTA;Angelus)作为冠部封闭材料的固位情况。
使用100颗人上颌中切牙。根管扩大至直径1.7毫米。根据所使用的ICM将标本分为5组(每组 = 20):氢氧化钙(CH)、2%洗必泰(CHX)、三联抗生素糊剂(TAP)、双联抗生素糊剂(DAP),以及不使用ICM(对照组;CON)。应用3周后,去除ICM,然后放置BA或MTA作为封闭材料(每组 = 10)。评估推出粘结强度和失败模式。使用双向方差分析、Tukey检验和χ检验对数据进行分析;P值<0.05表示具有统计学意义。
ICM的类型和封闭材料的类型对粘结强度有显著影响(P<0.01)。无论ICM的类型如何,BA的粘结强度均低于MTA(P<0.05)。对于MTA,CH的粘结强度高于CON、TAP和DAP;CHX的粘结强度高于DAP(P<0.01)。对于BA,CH的粘结强度高于DAP(P<0.05)。BA的失败模式主要为内聚性(P<0.05)。
