A Gram-stain negative, aerobic, rod-shaped, and non-motile bacterium, designated strain CCMM003, was isolated from a culture of the green alga Ulva prolifera. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain CCMM003 belongs to the family Flavobacteriaceae and exhibits a close relationship to Pseudozobellia thermophila DSM 19858 (92.5%). Optimal growth occurred in the presence of 4% (w/v) NaCl, at pH 7.0 and 30 °C. The polar lipids of strain CCMM003 consisted of phosphatidylethanolamine and six unidentified lipids. The predominant isoprenoid quinone was MK-6. The major fatty acids were iso-C, iso-C G, iso-C 3-OH and summed feature 3 (Cω7c and/or iso-C 2-OH). The DNA G + C content of strain CCMM003 calculated on the basis of the genome sequence was 41.2 mol% and the genome size was 5.9 Mbp. On the basis of data from this polyphasic study, strain CCMM003 is considered to represent a novel genus and species of the family Flavobacteriaceae, for which the name Ulvibacterium marinum gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is CCMM003 (= MCCC 1K03244 =KCTC 52639).
从绿藻石莼培养物中分离出一株革兰氏染色阴性、需氧、杆状且无运动性的细菌,命名为CCMM003菌株。基于16S rRNA基因序列的系统发育分析表明,CCMM003菌株属于黄杆菌科,与嗜热假佐贝尔氏菌DSM 19858具有密切关系(92.5%)。在4%(w/v)NaCl、pH 7.0和30℃条件下生长最佳。CCMM003菌株的极性脂质由磷脂酰乙醇胺和六种未鉴定的脂质组成。主要类异戊二烯醌为MK-6。主要脂肪酸为异-C、异-C G、异-C 3-OH和总和特征3(Cω7c和/或异-C 2-OH)。根据基因组序列计算,CCMM003菌株的DNA G+C含量为41.2 mol%,基因组大小为5.9 Mbp。基于这项多相研究的数据,CCMM003菌株被认为代表黄杆菌科的一个新属和新种,为此提出了海洋石莼杆菌属(Ulvibacterium)新属,新种。模式菌株为CCMM003(=MCCC 1K03244=KCTC 52639)。
