Abstract

A novel marine Gram-stain-negative, non-spore-forming, motile, aerobic, coccoid or ovoid bacterium, designated as strain DSL-16, was isolated from a tidal flat sediment on the East China Sea and characterized phylogenetically and phenotypically. Optimal growth of the strain occurred at 35 °C (range 4-40 °C), at pH 6 (range 5-11) and with 4 % (w/v) NaCl (range 1-14 %). The nearest phylogenetic neighbour was Paracoccusseriniphilus DSM 14827 (98.2 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity). The digital DNA-DNA hybridization value between strain DSL-16 and P. seriniphilus DSM 14827 was 19.5±2.2 %. The average nucleotide identity value between strain DSL-16 and P. seriniphilus DSM 14827 was 83.6 %. The sole respiratory ubiquinone was Q-10. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylmonomethylethanolamine (PME), phosphatidylglycerol (PG), phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), diphosphatidyglycerol (DPG) and glycolipid (GL). The predominant cellular fatty acids of strain DSL-16 were C18 : 1ω7c, C18 : 0 and 11-methyl C18 : 1ω7c. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 64.5 mol%. The combined genotypic and phenotypic data indicated that strain DSL-16 represents a novel species of the genus Paracoccus, for which the name Paracoccus sediminilitoris sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is DSL-16 (=KCTC 62644=MCCC 1K03534).

从中国东海潮滩沉积物中分离出一株新型海洋革兰氏染色阴性、无芽孢、运动性好、需氧的球状或卵形细菌,命名为DSL-16菌株,并对其进行了系统发育和表型特征分析。该菌株的最适生长温度为35 °C(范围4-40 °C),最适pH为6(范围5-11),最适NaCl浓度为4%(w/v)(范围1-14%)。系统发育关系最近的邻接菌株是嗜血清副球菌DSM 14827(16S rRNA基因序列相似性为98.2%)。DSL-16菌株与嗜血清副球菌DSM 14827之间的数字DNA-DNA杂交值为19.5±2.2%。DSL-16菌株与嗜血清副球菌DSM 14827之间的平均核苷酸同一性值为83.6%。唯一的呼吸醌为Q-10。主要极性脂为磷脂酰单甲基乙醇胺(PME)、磷脂酰甘油(PG)、磷脂酰胆碱(PC)、磷脂酰乙醇胺(PE)、二磷脂酰甘油(DPG)和糖脂(GL)。DSL-16菌株的主要细胞脂肪酸为C18 : 1ω7c、C18 : 0和11-甲基C18 : 1ω7c。基因组DNA的G+C含量为64.5 mol%。综合基因型和表型数据表明,DSL-16菌株代表副球菌属的一个新物种,为此提出了新名称嗜潮滩副球菌(Paracoccus sediminilitoris sp. nov.)。模式菌株为DSL-16(=KCTC 62644=MCCC 1K03534)。
