Plants of the genus Wigg., have long been used as medicinal herbs. A phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of (Hornem.) Hand.-Mazz. subsp. (Hornem.) Hand.-Mazz. (Asteraceae) yielded two coumarins [esculetin (1), cichoriin (2)], three flavonoids [ luteolin (3), luteolin 7-O-β-D-glucoside (4), gossypetin (5)] and six phenolic acids and their derivatives [ p-coumaric acid (6), caffeic acid (7), ferulic acid (8), chlorogenic acid methyl ester (9), 3,5-di-O-caffeoylquinic acid (10), 3,5-di-O-caffeoylquinic acid methyl ester (11)]. Their structures were established conclusively by UV, ESI-MS, 1-D and 2-D NMR spectra analyses and comparison with literature data. The presence of these compounds has been shown for the first time from this species. This is the first report of the isolation of compound 5 from the genus .
Wigg.属植物长期以来一直被用作草药。对(Hornem.)Hand.-Mazz.亚种(Hornem.)Hand.-Mazz.(菊科)地上部分进行的植物化学研究得到了两种香豆素[七叶亭(1),菊苣素(2)]、三种黄酮类化合物[木犀草素(3),木犀草素7-O-β-D-葡萄糖苷(4),棉皮素(5)]以及六种酚酸及其衍生物[对香豆酸(6),咖啡酸(7),阿魏酸(8),绿原酸甲酯(9),3,5-二-O-咖啡酰奎尼酸(10),3,5-二-O-咖啡酰奎尼酸甲酯(11)]。通过紫外光谱、电喷雾电离质谱、一维和二维核磁共振光谱分析并与文献数据比较,最终确定了它们的结构。这些化合物首次在该物种中被发现。这是首次从该属中分离出化合物5 的报道。
