In the present study, our experience at the family planning unit Ankara Military Hospital with intrauterine devices Lippes Loop, multiload Cu 250 and Nova T are presented. 595 women were included in the study between march 31, 1984 with a follow up of 12 months. Out of 595 women 547 (92%) reported no complaints at all. From the remaining 48 women 8 wished to have the device removed, 8 had spontaneous expulsions and in 31 IUD was removed for medical purposes.
