Abstract

OBJECTIVE

This study aimed to assess the construct validity of the Child Occupational Self-Assessment, translated to Persian that could provide occupational therapists with a tool to evaluate occupational competence and values of children in Iran.

METHODS

A total of 250 children (87 girls and 163 boys) with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder aged 7.5-11 years referred from two specialised children's hospitals were included. The researchers read the questions to the children and they identified their own answers. The data were analysed based on the Rasch Rating Scale Model.

RESULTS

Four of the items showed misfit and as a result of deleting these items the Persian version of the questionnaire has 21 items with an appropriate validity.

CONCLUSION

The Persian version of Child Occupational Self-Assessment can be used with new items format. It could be also useful to replace the missing question to develop the tool further.

目的

本研究旨在评估翻译成波斯语的儿童职业自我评估的结构效度,该评估可为伊朗的职业治疗师提供一种评估儿童职业能力和价值观的工具。

方法

纳入了从两家专业儿童医院转诊来的250名7.5至11岁患有注意力缺陷多动障碍的儿童(87名女孩和163名男孩)。研究人员向孩子们宣读问题,孩子们自行确定答案。数据基于拉施评分量表模型进行分析。

结果

其中四个项目显示不匹配,删除这些项目后,波斯语版问卷有21个项目,效度良好。

结论

波斯语版儿童职业自我评估可采用新的项目形式使用。替换缺失问题以进一步完善该工具也可能会有帮助。
