To determine nursing outcomes and interventions for problem-focused nursing diagnoses related to nutritional problems.
Judgment of linkages among nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions using a multiple review process. Five nursing diagnoses were selected, and then outcomes and interventions were determined, based on clinical expertise and scientific literature.
Nursing outcomes and interventions were determined for the resolution or improvement of the nursing diagnoses, with selection of interventions that could influence the progression of the outcomes.
This study provides knowledge for developing care plans for patients with nutritional problems and evaluating the response to the interventions.
NANDA-I, Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC), and Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) linkages facilitate nurses' ability to select nursing outcomes and interventions for patients with nutritional problems.
