(2020) reveal that dermal adipocytes regulate skin wound repair via release of fatty acids that promote macrophage recruitment and accelerated revascularization. Furthermore, mature dermal adipocytes dedifferentiate into migratory extracellularmatrix-producing myofibroblasts.
