Abstract

The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of pearl perch () was determined using a PCR-based method. The genome was 16,529 bp in length and included 37 genes (13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and two ribosomal RNA genes) and two non-coding regions (control region and origin of the light strand replication). A maximum likelihood analysis was conducted to confirm the phylogenetic position of this species using almost all the data available on Pempheriformes in the database. The complete mitochondrial genome sequence data obtained from our study would be useful for analyzing the evolutionary relationships of the Pempheriformes and population genetics of the Glaucosomatidae.

利用基于聚合酶链式反应(PCR)的方法测定了珍珠鲈()的完整线粒体基因组序列。该基因组长度为16,529 bp,包含37个基因(13个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA基因和两个核糖体RNA基因)以及两个非编码区(控制区和轻链复制起点)。利用数据库中几乎所有关于金眼鲷目的可用数据进行了最大似然分析,以确定该物种的系统发育位置。我们研究中获得的完整线粒体基因组序列数据将有助于分析金眼鲷目的进化关系和银鲈科的群体遗传学。
