Abstract

The aim of the present study was to investigate the biological activities of the ultrasound-assisted extracts obtained from pulp and seed of jujube () fruits. To reach this purpose, total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), total pro-anthocyanin, DPPH radical scavenging activity, rancimat test, as well as antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity test of both jujube pulp and seed extracts were evaluated. Total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and total pro-anthocyanin in pulp extract were higher than those obtained from seed extract. In addition, DPPH radical scavenging activity of pulp extract (IC = 53.97 µg/ml) was higher than that of seed extract (IC = 88.68 µg/ml). Furthermore, the highest antimicrobial activity was observed against and (MIC = 20 mg/ml) for both seed and pulp extracts. In vitro cytotoxicity evaluation on seven cell lines revealed that pulp and seed extracts of jujube had no cytotoxic activity. The present results suggested the promising antioxidant properties of jujube, which can be used in the fabrication of functional bioactive ingredients for different purposes.

摘要

本研究的目的是调查从枣()果实的果肉和种子中获得的超声辅助提取物的生物活性。为了达到这个目的,对枣果肉和种子提取物的总酚含量(TPC)、总黄酮含量(TFC)、总原花青素、DPPH自由基清除活性、Rancimat试验以及抗菌活性和细胞毒性试验进行了评估。果肉提取物中的总酚含量(TPC)、总黄酮含量(TFC)和总原花青素高于种子提取物。此外,果肉提取物的DPPH自由基清除活性(IC = 53.97 μg/ml)高于种子提取物(IC = 88.68 μg/ml)。此外,种子和果肉提取物对 和 的抗菌活性最高(MIC = 20 mg/ml)。对七种细胞系的体外细胞毒性评估表明,枣的果肉和种子提取物没有细胞毒性活性。目前的结果表明枣具有良好的抗氧化性能,可用于制造不同用途的功能性生物活性成分。
