We analyzed the behavior and peripheral blood T- and B-cell subpopulations in mice overexpressing the mutant form of human α-synuclein (A53T) in comparison with mice of the wild type (WT) parent C57BL/6J strain. Behavioral phenotype and the content of various cell subpopulations of A53T mice depended on animal age. Young (2-month-old mice) were characterized by low emotionality and the most pronounced changes in cell subpopulation composition (an increase in CD3T cells and CD4T helper cells, a decrease in CD19B cells along with unchanged content of CD3CD4CD25T-regulatory cells and CD19CD25B-regulatory cells). In old A53T mice (10-month-old), movement impairments appeared and increased numbers of CD4T helper cells and CD3CD4CD25T-regulatory cells were revealed.
