The authors report a case of fulminant myocarditis from an influenza A (H3N2) infection in a healthy individual who experienced cardiac arrest requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The case highlights the management of complications arising from the use of ECMO including differential hypoxia and left ventricular overload requiring left ventricular venting. ().
