Abstract

A Gram-negative, yellow-pigmented, rod-shaped bacterial strain YIM B02567 was isolated from the root of Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis in China. Strain YIM B02567 grew optimally at 25-30 °C and at pH 7.0 in the absence of NaCl on nutrient agar. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain YIM B02567 belong to the genus Chryseobacterium, and was closely related to Chryseobacterium piperi CTM and Chryseobacterium soli DSM 19298. Whole genome sequencing indicated that the genome size was 4,774,612 bp and with a G + C content of 34.5 mol%. Values of the ANI and the dDDH between strain YIM B02567 and its closely related Chryseobacterium species were below 81.72% and 24.7%. Strain YIM B02567 contained menaquinone-6 as the sole isoprenoid quinone, anteiso-C iso-C ω9c and iso-C 3-OH as major fatty acids and phosphatidylethanolamine as major polar lipid. Based on the polyphasic analyses, strain YIM B02567 could be differentiated genotypically and phenotypically from recognized species of the genus Chryseobacterium. The isolate, therefore, represents a novel species, for which the name Chryseobacterium paridis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YIM B02567 (= CGMCC 1.18657).

一株革兰氏阴性、黄色着色、杆状的细菌菌株 YIM B02567 从中国云南重楼的根部分离得到。菌株 YIM B02567 在无 NaCl 的营养琼脂上最适生长温度为 25-30°C,pH 值为 7.0。基于 16S rRNA 基因序列的系统发育分析表明,菌株 YIM B02567 属于黄杆菌属,与假单胞菌属 Piperi CTM 和 Solis DSM 19298 密切相关。全基因组测序表明,基因组大小为 4,774,612 bp,G+C 含量为 34.5 mol%。菌株 YIM B02567 与其密切相关的黄杆菌属种之间的 ANI 和 dDDH 值均低于 81.72%和 24.7%。菌株 YIM B02567 含有menaquinone-6 作为唯一的异戊二烯醌,anteiso-C iso-C ω9c 和 iso-C 3-OH 作为主要脂肪酸,磷脂酰乙醇胺作为主要极性脂。基于多相分析,菌株 YIM B02567 在基因型和表型上可与黄杆菌属的公认种区分开来。因此,该分离物代表了一个新的种,建议命名为重楼黄杆菌(Chryseobacterium paridis)sp. nov.。模式菌株为 YIM B02567(=CGMCC 1.18657)。
