The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between nurses' job satisfaction levels and quality of life.
This cross-sectional study was conducted on 225 nurses working in a university hospital in Turkey. Nurse Information Form, Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ), and The World Health Organization Quality of Life Instrument-WHOQOL-BREF (TR) were used to collect the data.
It was determined that while the MSQ mean score of the nurses was low, their WHOQOL-BREF mean score was moderate. A positive statistically significant and linear correlation was determined between job satisfaction and quality of life (p < 0.01). While the nurses' MSQ score increased, their WHOQOL-BREF score also increased.
As job satisfaction of nurses increases, both their quality of life and quality of nursing care will be enhanced.
