Hydrogen gas (H) is an important molecular messenger in animal and plant cells and is involved in various aspects of plant processes, including root organogenesis induction, stress tolerance and postharvest senescence. This study investigated the effect of H fumigation on the quality of Lanzhou lily scales. The results indicated the H remarkably declined the color variation and browning degree in Lanzhou lily scales by suppressing the activity of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO). Moreover, H significantly alleviated the degradation of soluble proteins and soluble sugars in Lanzhou lily scales during postharvest storage, mitigating the decline in nutritional quality. This alleviating effect of H might be achieved by increasing the endogenous H concentration. Collectively, our data provide new insights into the postharvest quality reduction of Lanzhou lily scales mitigated by H fumigation.
氢气(H₂)是动植物细胞中一种重要的分子信使,参与植物生长过程的各个方面,包括根器官发生诱导、胁迫耐受性和采后衰老。本研究调查了氢气熏蒸对兰州百合鳞片品质的影响。结果表明,氢气通过抑制苯丙氨酸解氨酶(PAL)、过氧化物酶(POD)和多酚氧化酶(PPO)的活性,显著降低了兰州百合鳞片的颜色变化和褐变程度。此外,氢气显著减轻了兰州百合鳞片采后贮藏期间可溶性蛋白质和可溶性糖的降解,缓解了营养品质的下降。氢气的这种缓解作用可能是通过增加内源性氢气浓度来实现的。总的来说,我们的数据为氢气熏蒸减轻兰州百合鳞片采后品质下降提供了新的见解。
