Abstract

PURPOSE

In this study, we investigated the effects of leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF) on implant stability and alterations in the marginal bone surrounding posterior maxillary implants.

METHODS

This randomized clinical trial was conducted to compare the variable of L-PRF placement around maxillary implants. Resonance frequency analysis (RFA) was used to evaluate the implant stability immediately after surgery and at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 weeks after surgery (t to t respectively). In addition, the amount of marginal bone changes around the implant at t was compared with the baseline using periapical radiography.

RESULTS

The RFA outcomes were statistically significant within each group (P < 0.001, Eta = 0.322); however, in none of the follow-ups and immediately after the surgery, there was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the implant stability quotient (ISQ) scores (P > 0.05). At t, the test and control groups' respective mean levels of marginal bone loss around the implants were 0.4836 mm and 0.7343 mm, significantly different from the corresponding values at t. On the other hand, marginal bone loss around the implant was not significantly different between the two groups in t and t (P = 0.532).

CONCLUSIONS

L-PRF did not improve the RFA outcomes of implants three months after implant placement, and changes in the ISQ values over time were the same in both groups. In addition, L-PRF had no superior effect on the marginal bone loss around the implants.

目的

本研究旨在探讨富白细胞纤维蛋白(L-PRF)对种植体稳定性及上颌后牙种植体周围边缘骨变化的影响。

方法

本随机临床试验旨在比较上颌种植体周围放置 L-PRF 的变量。采用共振频率分析(RFA)评估术后即刻及术后 1、2、4、6、8、12 周时种植体的稳定性(分别为 t 至 t)。此外,使用根尖片比较种植体周围边缘骨在 t 时的变化与基线相比。

结果

各组内 RFA 结果均具有统计学意义(P<0.001,Eta=0.322);然而,在随访和术后即刻,两组间种植体稳定性指数(ISQ)评分均无显著差异(P>0.05)。在 t 时,试验组和对照组种植体周围边缘骨的平均丧失量分别为 0.4836mm 和 0.7343mm,与 t 时的相应值显著不同。另一方面,在 t 和 t 时,两组种植体周围边缘骨的丢失量无显著差异(P=0.532)。

结论
