A mixed haemadsorption procedure for the detection and localisation of spermatozoal antigens is described. Sperm are immobilised by attaching them to the bases of wells on plastic plates using poly-L-lysine and antisera and sensitised red cells are then added to these wells. The technique uses simple reagents and allows sperm/red cell rosettes to be kept as permanent records.
