In this study, we employed high-throughput sequencing data to assemble the mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the White-tufted Sunbeam (). The total length of the mitogenome was found to be 16,872 base pairs (bp), containing 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and 1 control region. The nucleotide composition was as follows: A 30.6%, T 24.0%, C 31.2%, and G 14.2%, resulting in a GC content of 45.4%. Phylogenetic analysis, utilizing the concatenation of the 13 mitochondrial PCGs, indicated a closer evolutionary relationship between the genus and the genus compared to other genera within the family Trochilidae investigated in this study. The mitogenome of not only contributes to species identification but also provides valuable insights for phylogenetic and conservation genetic analyses of .
