Attitudes toward the communication of nurses and nursing students with patients can influence the health outcomes of their patients. The present study aimed to develop and validate an abbreviated form of the Attitudes Toward Communication (ACO) scale for nurses and nursing students. : Two types of participants were included in this study, 385 nurses and 1408 nursing students (67.30% of the nurses and 82.10% of the students were women). After obtaining their informed consent. Attitudes toward communication (ACO) of nurses and nursing students with patients were evaluated. Internal consistency and construct validity analyses were conducted. A 12-item instrument (ACO-R) was obtained that maintained the factorial structure and ensured the homogeneous distribution of items in the different subscales. The same solution was found for both samples. : The instrument showed adequate internal consistency and validity indices. The ACO-R instrument is an efficient, valid, and reliable measure to assess ACO among nursing students and nurses.
护士及护生与患者沟通的态度会影响患者的健康结局。本研究旨在开发并验证护士及护生沟通态度量表（ACO）的简版。本研究纳入了两类参与者，385名护士和1408名护生（67.30%的护士和82.10%的护生为女性）。在获得他们的知情同意后，对护士及护生与患者沟通的态度进行了评估，并进行了内部一致性和结构效度分析。得到了一个包含12个条目的量表（ACO-R），该量表保持了因子结构，并确保了不同子量表中条目的均匀分布。两个样本得到了相同的结果。该量表显示出足够的内部一致性和效度指标。ACO-R量表是评估护生和护士沟通态度的一种有效、可靠的测量工具。
