sp. CC302I was isolated from a highly oligothrophic environment. High-throughput screening shows high codon-readthrough activity for the isolate with no canonical biosynthetic gene cluster responsible. Here, we report the whole-genome assembly of sp. CC302I and a preliminary identification of biosynthetic gene clusters encoded in the genome.
