Abstract

Six tumours of the lung initially classified as clear cell carcinoma, were studied. Examination of further material by light and electron microscopy showed adenocarcinomatous differentiation in three cases and squamous differentiation in two. One case showed the features of a large cell anaplastic carcinoma. The clear appearance of the cytoplasm in paraffin sections was due to accumulations of glycogen that were partially removed during processing. It is concluded that clear cell carcinoma is not a single and separate entity.

摘要

对最初归类为透明细胞癌的6例肺肿瘤进行了研究。通过光镜和电镜对更多组织材料进行检查发现，3例存在腺癌分化，2例存在鳞状分化。1例表现为大细胞间变性癌的特征。石蜡切片中细胞质的透明外观是由于糖原积累所致，这些糖原在制片过程中部分被去除。结论是，透明细胞癌并非单一且独立的实体。
