The role of the thymus-dependent (T) cell in experimental pyelonephritis has been studied using neonatally thymectomized or ALG-treated rats. The number of kidney scars and the macroscopic or microscopic appearance of the lesions were unaffected by the presence or absence of T cells. Responses to both the O and K antigens of appear to be T cell-independent in the rat.
(注:原文中“appear to be T cell-independent in the rat.”
