[Effect of indomethacin on the development of noradrenaline-induced heart lesions in rats].

The isolated perfused rat heart was used to study the damaging effect of noradrenaline. This effect is observed when noradrenaline is added to the perfusate. The degree of cellular damage was assessed from creatine phosphokinase release into the perfusate. Pretreatment of rats with indomethacin increases heart injury induced by noradrenaline. The results of the experiments suggest that the effect of indomethacin is related to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins.
