Abstract
Severe ocular injuries are uncommon in patients with pure orbital blow-out fractures. Over a 3-year period, 45 patients with radiologically proved blow-out fractures were reviewed by an ophthalmologist. Decrease in visual acuity was the main clinical finding accompanying significant eye injury. Although most eye injuries were transient, early ophthalmic assessment is recommended to exclude potentially serious complications such as traumatic optic neuropathy. Troublesome diplopia may delay rapid rehabilitation.

单纯眼眶爆裂性骨折患者中严重眼外伤并不常见。在3年期间，一位眼科医生对45例经放射学证实为爆裂性骨折的患者进行了检查。视力下降是伴有严重眼外伤的主要临床发现。尽管大多数眼外伤是短暂的，但仍建议尽早进行眼科评估，以排除潜在的严重并发症，如外伤性视神经病变。令人困扰的复视可能会延迟快速康复。
