There are three primary areas for nutrition intervention in schools: direct nutrition care in a school-based health clinic, school meals, and nutrition education in the classroom and of school staff. Dietitians can positively affect students' nutrition health by providing nutrition guidance in the clinic and by creating a positive nutrition environment in the school through increased nutrition education in the classroom and healthful, tasty meals in the cafeteria.
