Myoepitheliomas of salivary glands are generally encapsulated, slowly growing asymptomic solid masses in which more than 50% are seen in the parotid gland. Cystic myoepitheliomas are very rare.
We present an 80-year-old man with a cystic mass in the right parotid gland that had undergone superficial parotidectomy. In gross examination, a mass containing a large cyst was observed. Microscopically, tumor consisted of clear cells and small cuboidal cells, forming tubules in a hyalinized stroma. Immunohistochemically, clear cells were immunoreactive for S100 and smooth muscle actin. Cuboidal cells were positive for cytokeratin. Diagnostic and differential diagnostic criteria were discussed under the light of the current literature.
涎腺肌上皮瘤通常有包膜，生长缓慢，无症状，为实性肿块，其中50%以上见于腮腺。囊性肌上皮瘤非常罕见。
我们报告一名80岁男性，其右侧腮腺有一个囊性肿块，已接受腮腺浅叶切除术。大体检查发现一个含有大囊肿的肿块。显微镜下，肿瘤由透明细胞和小立方形细胞组成，在玻璃样变的间质中形成小管。免疫组化显示，透明细胞对S100和平滑肌肌动蛋白呈免疫反应。立方形细胞对细胞角蛋白呈阳性。根据当前文献讨论了诊断和鉴别诊断标准。
