Abstract
is a rare but important cause of plant poisoning, especially in tropical countries like India. Most of the published literature on Abrus is limited a few case reports. Hence, we did a retrospective study the clinical features and outcome of Abrus poisoning. Case records of patients admitted to medicine wards during 7 years were included in the study. A total of 112 patients were studied. The majority were females (78%), and most of the patients were between 13 and 30 years (81%). Diarrhea was the most common symptom (66%), and blood in stools was present in (33%). Six patients had died with a mortality rate of (5.35%).

是植物中毒的一种罕见但重要的原因，尤其是在印度这样的热带国家。关于相思子的大多数已发表文献仅限于少数病例报告。因此，我们对相思子中毒的临床特征和结局进行了一项回顾性研究。研究纳入了7年间入住内科病房的患者的病例记录。共研究了112例患者。大多数为女性（78%），且大多数患者年龄在13至30岁之间（81%）。腹泻是最常见的症状（66%），33%的患者有便血。6例患者死亡，死亡率为5.35%。
