Abstract

Bacterial pathogens must enter the plant tissue in order to cause a successful infection. Foliar bacterial pathogens that are not able to directly penetrate the plant epidermis rely on wounds or natural openings to internalize leaves. This protocol describes a procedure to estimate the population size of in the leaf apoplast after surface inoculation of rosettes.

细菌病原体必须进入植物组织才能成功引发感染。无法直接穿透植物表皮的叶部细菌病原体依靠伤口或自然开口进入叶片内部。本实验方案描述了一种在莲座叶表面接种后估计叶质外体中细菌种群大小的程序。
