The use of bleaching agents, despite being a conservative treatment, can cause a decrease in the surface microhardness of dental resins, affecting their aesthetics and performance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of polishing on the surface microhardness of nanohybrid composite resins that were subjected to bleaching with 35% hydrogen peroxide.
This cross-sectional, experimental study consisted of 30 composite resin samples made according to ISO 4049-2019 and divided equally into two groups (A and B) which were subjected to 35% hydrogen peroxide bleaching. Group A was subjected to polishing procedure, whereas group B was the control group. The samples were stored in distilled water at 37°C for 24 h. The Vickers microhardness was determined with a load of 100 g-f for 10 s. The data were analyzed with Student's -test for independent samples at a confidence level of 95%.
The surface microhardness of the group that was subjected to polishing (A) obtained a mean of 78.07 ± 7.96 HV, whereas for the group that was not subjected to polishing (B) the mean was 65.67 ± 5.22 HV. The difference between groups (A and B) was statistically significant ( < 0.001).
Nanohybrid composite resins previously subjected to 35% hydrogen peroxide gel significantly increased their surface microhardness when subjected to polishing when compared with unpolished nanohybrid composite resins.
尽管使用漂白剂是一种保守治疗方法,但它会导致牙科树脂的表面显微硬度降低,影响其美观性和性能。本研究的目的是评估抛光对经35%过氧化氢漂白的纳米混合复合树脂表面显微硬度的影响。
本横断面实验研究由30个按照ISO 4049-2019制作的复合树脂样本组成,平均分为两组(A组和B组),两组均接受35%过氧化氢漂白。A组进行抛光处理,而B组为对照组。样本在37℃的蒸馏水中储存24小时。使用100g-f的载荷持续10秒测定维氏显微硬度。数据采用独立样本t检验进行分析,置信水平为95%。
经过抛光的A组表面显微硬度平均值为78.07±7.96 HV,而未经过抛光的B组平均值为65.67±5.22 HV。两组(A组和B组)之间的差异具有统计学意义(<0.001)。
与未抛光的纳米混合复合树脂相比,先前经35%过氧化氢凝胶处理的纳米混合复合树脂在进行抛光时,其表面显微硬度显著增加。
