This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the combination of zinc oxide nanoparticles (NPs) and chitosan NPs on the shear bond strength (SBS) of composites used for orthodontic bonding.
Four groups of composites (n = 10), containing 0%, 1%, 5%, and 10% w/w NP fillers, respectively, were used to bond brackets to the surfaces of 40 intact bovine incisors. After 1000 rounds of thermal cycling at 5°C-55°C, all specimens were mounted in acrylic blocks. The SBS was tested using a universal testing machine, and the adhesive remnant index scores were registered using a stereomicroscope. Data were statistically analyzed using a 1-way ANOVA and the Kruskal-Wallis test.
The highest value of mean SBS was found in the control group, and the lowest value was found in the group with composite containing 10% NPs. The adhesive remnant index did not differ significantly among the groups (P = 0.823).
Incorporation of 1% and 5% zinc oxide and chitosan NPs had no effect on the SBS of composite, and the obtained SBS values were similar to that of the control group.
本研究旨在评估氧化锌纳米粒子(NPs)和壳聚糖 NPs 混合物对正畸粘接用复合材料的抗剪粘接强度(SBS)的影响。
使用 4 组复合材料(n=10),分别含有 0%、1%、5%和 10%w/w NP 填料,将托槽粘接在 40 个完整的牛切牙表面。经过 5°C-55°C 之间的 1000 次热循环后,所有标本均安装在丙烯酸块中。使用万能试验机测试 SBS,使用立体显微镜记录胶黏残余指数评分。使用单向方差分析和 Kruskal-Wallis 检验对数据进行统计分析。
平均 SBS 的最高值出现在对照组中,最低值出现在含有 10% NPs 的复合材料组中。各组间的胶黏残余指数无显著差异(P=0.823)。
添加 1%和 5%的氧化锌和壳聚糖 NPs 对复合材料的 SBS 没有影响,并且获得的 SBS 值与对照组相似。
