We described a case of clinical reactivation of chronic infection following CoVID-19 vaccination with BNT162b2 (Pifzer-Biontech CoVID-19 vaccine) in a 48-year old Italian man.The patient came to our attention for fever of unknown origin show a quartan pattern (every third day) associated to splenomegaly, the onset of the fever occurred one month after CoVID-19 vaccination with BNT162b2. was diagnosed using Carestart™ malaria rapid test and Polymerase-Chain Reaction. Post-vaccine transient reduction of immune reactivity is described in literature, although the mechanism is unknown.
我们描述了一名48岁意大利男子在接种BNT162b2(辉瑞-生物科技新冠疫苗)后慢性感染临床再激活的病例。该患者因不明原因发热前来就诊,发热呈间日热型(每三天一次)并伴有脾肿大,发热始于接种BNT162b2新冠疫苗后一个月。通过Carestart™疟疾快速检测和聚合酶链反应进行诊断。文献中描述了疫苗接种后免疫反应性的短暂降低,但其机制尚不清楚。
