Abstract

PURPOSE

The Korea Oral Biobank Network (KOBN) was established in 2021 as a branch of the Korea Biobank Network under the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to provide infrastructure for the collection, management, storage, and utilization of human bioresources from the oral cavity and associated clinical data for basic research and clinical studies.

METHODS

To address the need for the unification of the biobanking process, the KOBN organized the concept review for all the processes.

RESULTS

The KOBN established standard operating procedures for the collection, processing, and storage of oral samples.

CONCLUSIONS

The importance of collecting high-quality bioresources to generate accurate and reproducible research results has always been emphasized. A standardized procedure is a basic prerequisite for implementing comprehensive quality management of biological resources and accurate data production.

目的

韩国口腔生物样本库网络(KOBN)于2021年作为韩国疾病控制与预防中心下属韩国生物样本库网络的一个分支而成立,旨在为口腔人类生物资源及其相关临床数据的收集、管理、存储和利用提供基础设施,以用于基础研究和临床研究。

方法

为满足生物样本库流程统一的需求,KOBN对所有流程进行了概念审查。

结果

KOBN制定了口腔样本收集、处理和存储的标准操作程序。

结论

一直以来都强调收集高质量生物资源以产生准确且可重复的研究结果的重要性。标准化程序是对生物资源实施全面质量管理和准确数据生成的基本前提。
