Abstract

Two Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming, strictly aerobic, motile bacteria with a single polar flagellum, designated strains C1424 and C2222, were isolated from marine alga collected from the sea shore at Yantai, PR China. Strain C1424 grew at 4-37 °C and in the presence of 1-9 % (w/v) NaCl, while strain C2222 grew at 4-32 °C with 1-6 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences and concatenated amino acid sequences of 120 ubiquitous single-copy proteins showed that both strains C1424 and C2222 belonged to the genus , showing highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities to the type strains of (98.1 %) and (98.1 %), respectively. The major fatty acids of the two strains were C 6 and/or C 7, C 6 and/or C 7 and C, their predominant polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol, and their sole respiratory quinone was Q8. On the basis of polyphasic analyses, strains C1424 and C2222 are considered to represent two novel species within the genus , for which the names sp. nov. and sp. nov. are proposed. The type strains are C1424 (=KCTC 72119=MCCC 1K03601) and C2222 (=KCTC 72120=MCCC 1K03602), respectively.

两株革兰氏阴性、杆状、不产芽孢、严格需氧、单极鞭毛的细菌,菌株 C1424 和 C2222,从中国烟台海滨采集的海洋藻类中分离得到。菌株 C1424 在 4-37°C 和 1-9%(w/v)NaCl 存在下生长,而菌株 C2222 在 4-32°C 和 1-6%(w/v)NaCl 存在下生长。基于 16S rRNA 基因序列和 120 个普遍存在的单拷贝蛋白的氨基酸序列的系统发育分析表明,菌株 C1424 和 C2222 均属于 属,与 (98.1%)和 (98.1%)的模式菌株的 16S rRNA 基因序列相似度最高。两株菌的主要脂肪酸为 C6 和/或 C7、C6 和/或 C7 和 C,其主要极性脂为磷脂酰乙醇胺和磷脂酰甘油,唯一的呼吸醌为 Q8。基于多相分析,菌株 C1424 和 C2222 被认为是 属内的两个新种,分别命名为 sp. nov. 和 sp. nov.。模式菌株分别为 C1424(=KCTC 72119=MCCC 1K03601)和 C2222(=KCTC 72120=MCCC 1K03602)。
