Abstract

Salinomycin is a coccidiostat approved as a feed additive for the prevention of coccidiosis in poultry. Official control of its residues is set by the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1644. The aim of our study was to assess the suitability of three microbial inhibition tests (MITs), PremiTest, Explorer 2.0, and the Screening Test for Antibiotic Residues (STAR) linked to the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), for the screening of salinomycin residues in the tissues of broiler chickens (breast and thigh muscle, heart, liver, gizzard, kidneys, lungs, spleen, skin, and fat) fed commercially produced feed containing 70 mg.kg of salinomycin in the complete feed. The first residue screening (Sampling A) was performed on the last day of administration of the salinomycin-medicated feed (day 30), and the second screening (Sampling B) was performed on the day of slaughter (day 37) after the expiry of the withdrawal period with the feeding of non-medicated feed. Based on the quantitative confirmation of salinomycin residues in the examined chicken tissues by the ELISA method (Sampling A from 0.025 to 0.241 mg.kg; Sampling B from 0.003 to 0.076 mg.kg), all the MITs with the preference of the bacterial strain var. ATCC 10149 demonstrated the ability to detect the residues of salinomycin in the examined tissues of broiler chickens at the level of the maximum residue limits set from 0.015 to 0.150 mg.kg by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1914 and confirmed the relevance of their sensitivity to the coccidiostat salinomycin.

盐霉素是一种已获批作为饲料添加剂用于预防家禽球虫病的抗球虫药。其残留的官方控制由委员会授权法规(欧盟)2022/1644规定。我们研究的目的是评估三种微生物抑制试验(MITs),即PremiTest、Explorer 2.0以及与酶联免疫吸附测定(ELISA)相关的抗生素残留筛选试验(STAR),用于筛选饲喂含有70 mg/kg盐霉素的商业生产饲料的肉鸡组织(胸肌和大腿肌肉、心脏、肝脏、砂囊、肾脏、肺、脾脏、皮肤和脂肪)中盐霉素残留的适用性。第一次残留筛选(采样A)在盐霉素药饲给药的最后一天(第30天)进行,第二次筛选(采样B)在停药期结束后屠宰当天(第37天)进行,此时饲喂的是非药饲。基于ELISA方法对所检测鸡组织中盐霉素残留的定量确认(采样A为0.025至0.241 mg/kg;采样B为0.003至0.076 mg/kg),所有选用菌株变种ATCC 10149的MITs都显示出能够在欧盟委员会实施法规(欧盟)2017/1914规定的0.015至0.150 mg/kg最大残留限量水平检测肉鸡所检测组织中的盐霉素残留,并证实了它们对盐霉素这种抗球虫药敏感性的相关性。
