Abstract
Cycloheximide resistance in Tetrahymena is inducible by mutagenesis. Two mutations, isolated independently from genetically different strains, were analyzed. The two mutations, Chx-1 and Chx-2, were found to be alleles at the same locus. A specific analysis is presented which may serve as a model for strategies employing an independent manipulation of the micro-and macronuclei of this organism for genetic studies.

四膜虫对放线菌酮的抗性可通过诱变诱导产生。对从基因不同的菌株中独立分离出的两个突变进行了分析。发现这两个突变Chx - 1和Chx - 2是同一基因座上的等位基因。本文给出了一项具体分析，可作为利用对该生物体的微核和大核进行独立操作开展遗传学研究策略的模型。
