Abstract
Malignant neoplasia occurred in mice runted by several treatments. The greatest incidence of neoplasia occurred following chronic and acute toxaemia induced by crude preparations of bacterial endotoxin from the animals' own gut flora. It is suggested that bacterial toxins may be more important in the induction of neoplasia in the murine runting syndrome than immunological mechanisms.

恶性肿瘤发生在经多种处理而发育不良的小鼠身上。肿瘤发生率最高的情况出现在由动物自身肠道菌群的细菌内毒素粗制品诱导的慢性和急性毒血症之后。有人提出，在小鼠发育不良综合征中，细菌毒素在肿瘤诱导方面可能比免疫机制更为重要。
