Abstract
By means of an agar-gel double diffusion technique the existence of five serological types of Neisseria gonorrhoeae was revealed by demonstrating the antigens responsible for type specificity. Based on these findings a typing method has been developed using a microprecipitin technique in agar-gel. 381 gonococcal strains have so far been typed by means of five cross-absorbed rabbit antisera.

通过琼脂凝胶双向扩散技术，通过展示负责型特异性的抗原，揭示了淋病奈瑟菌的五种血清型的存在。基于这些发现，开发了一种在琼脂凝胶中使用微量沉淀素技术的分型方法。迄今为止，已使用五种交叉吸收的兔抗血清对381株淋球菌菌株进行了分型。
